FAQs
Yes. Indian passport holders require a Schengen visa. Switzerland is a Schengen Area country (though not an EU member). Apply at the Swiss Embassy/VFS Global with your travel itinerary and hotel bookings at least 3–4 weeks in advance. We provide a documentation checklist.
June to September for summer: green meadows, wildflowers, excellent hiking, and Jungfraujoch visibility. December to March for snow and skiing. July and August are the most popular — book early. Late May and October offer quieter crowds with still-stunning scenery.
The Swiss Travel Pass gives unlimited travel on all Swiss Federal Railways, postal buses, lake steamers, and free or discounted entry to over 500 museums and mountain railways. For a multi-city Switzerland itinerary like this one, it is absolutely worth it — trains here are frequent, scenic, and on-time to the minute.
Even in July, Jungfraujoch (3,454 m) is around −5°C to 0°C. Bring a warm jacket, gloves, and closed-toe shoes. A thin balaclava or ear-warmers are recommended. Sunscreen and sunglasses are essential — UV radiation at altitude is very strong even on overcast days.
Absolutely. We can add 1–2 nights in Geneva (UN buildings, Jet d'Eau fountain, Lake Geneva) or Basel (Art Basel, Rhine riverfront) as an extension. Let us know your total days available and we will design a custom itinerary.
